To succeed in this position you will be energetic with a sunny disposition and ideally have experience in working with young people with additional educational needs. Our learning centre staff work full tuition days from 8.50am to 3.20pm (30 hours per week, 30 minutes unpaid lunchtime included).

Job tasks and Responsibilities
The following is a range of duties that can be required of this position holder;
- Assisting students in lessons under the direction of the teacher.
- Supporting small groups of students under the direction of the teacher.
- Assisting students who have specific special needs with their personal care as required
- Assisting students who have specific needs with access arrangements and specialist furniture as required.
- Supporting students on off-site trips and activities as required.
- Contributing to IEP meetings as required
- Attending learning support meetings
- Attending professional development as required
- Maintaining professional confidentiality with regard to student information
- Positive relationships with students with additional needs
- Supervision and supporting students with special conditions as necessary
